Hi, I’m Nadley! But you can call me Nad. I’m the owner and artist behind Shining Crazy Co.
I believe art shouldn’t only live in frames or on gallery walls. It should be part of your daily rituals. Wrapped around you in a blanket, brightening your morning coffee, or adding a spark of joy to your living room.
My goal is to bring art into the home in ways that are both vibrant and comforting, a balance of the Danish hygge coziness with bold, colorful expression.
What is Hygge?
At the heart of Shining Crazy Co. is the Danish concept of hygge (pronounced hoo-gah). Hygge is the art of creating coziness, connection, and contentment in everyday life. Think warm blankets, soft candlelight, good company, and small moments of joy.
In my work, I bring hygge together with bold, colorful design. The goal is to surround you with things that make your home feel both bright and alive while also comforting and inviting. Every product is designed to spark joy while wrapping you in that cozy hygge feeling.
Why Shining Crazy Co.?
I’ve worn many hats: biologist, traveler, bartender, creative director. I’ve wandered across 30+ countries, studied cells under microscopes, and learned that the truest discoveries often come when you let yourself create freely.
For me, art began as an outlet — a way to release emotions and explore my imagination. Over time, it grew into a calling. My sketchbooks, canvases, and designs are streams of color and consciousness that celebrate nature, science, emotion, and color. I bring in these design elements to create unique products for the home to stimulate and inspire your own creativity.
Right now, most of our products are made with print-on-demand — an amazing way for small businesses to share art without limits. As Shining Crazy Co. grows, my dream is to collaborate with manufacturers to bring you original, custom-crafted goods.
